Jean Erdman Scholarship Grant

The Jean Erdman Scholarship, established in 2001 by Jean Erdman, supports students pursuing Dance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This scholarship honors Erdman's legacy as a pioneering dancer and choreographer. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and show potential talent in Dance. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet eligibility criteria. This scholarship fosters future generations of dancers and enriches the local arts community in Hawaii.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.
This scholarship was established in 2001 by Jean Erdman to support students studying Dance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Jean was a dancer and choreographer, and who some described as a pioneer of modern dance in the 1940s and 1950s.

Eligibility

HCF Criteria:Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
Be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0Donor Criteria:Attend the University of Hawai'i at Manoa
Be an undergraduate or graduate
Demonstrated potential talent in Dance as a performer or choreographer
Demonstrate financial need
Commitment to the program as evidence by service to the Dance program or Dance community
