International Peace Scholarship Fund (IPS)

Program Type: Need-based scholarship for international women students

Geographic Scope: For graduate study in United States or Canada

Purpose: Provides scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the U.S. or Canada. Based on demonstrated need; award not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Woman outside United States and Canada
  • Seeking advanced degree from accredited college or university in U.S. or Canada
  • Will return to home country to utilize education to make positive impact and foster global peace
  • Has full year of formal coursework remaining AND
  • - Is enrolled and in residence in U.S. or Canada for entire school year; OR - Is international student attending Cottey College
  • Student with residency for tax purposes only is permitted

Ineligible Applicants

  • Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations (as first-time applicants)
  • U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Students applying for online courses, research, internships, or practical training not combined with formal coursework
