IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida Grants IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida is a group of women that seeks to transform the lives of people in Okaloosa and Walton Counties by funding transformational, high impact projects through grants to nonprofit organizations in those counties. The exact amount of funds available for award in any given year depends upon the number of women who join the organization. Grants will be awarded in amounts of at least $100,000.00, possibly more. The exact amount of this year’s grant(s) will be announced in early May following the end of our membership drive. Please note that all projects must show the need for and proposed use of the entire grant amount. Focus Areas Nonprofit organizations submit their applications under one of five specific focus areas. Education: Projects and initiatives essential to improving the educational process or improving access to education for children and/or adults in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Environment: Projects and initiatives essential to protecting, preserving, revitalizing or restoring natural resources or environmental facilities in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Family: Projects and initiatives that strengthen and enhance the lives of children and families residing in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Health & Recreation: Projects and initiatives that positively impact the physical and/or mental health and wellness of residents of Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Arts & Culture: Projects and initiatives essential to cultivating, developing, educating and improving cultural initiatives in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Eligibility

Organizations eligible to apply for the Impact100 NWF grant must confirm the organization is:Defined as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for a minimum of 1 yearBased in, providing services to, or collaborating with organizations in Walton and Okaloosa CountiesRegistered with the Florida Division of CorporationsRegistered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, unless the organization is exemptProjects eligible for the Impact100 NWF grant must: Serve residents of, and expend funds fully in Walton and Okaloosa countiesBe a new program, expansion of an existing program, or a new or expanded collaborative effort of multiple nonprofit organizationsHave a total project budget for the full IMPACT 100 grant amountExpend funds within 24 months of the October award dateBe designated by the applying nonprofit organization for one of the five following Focus Areas:Arts, Culture & History: Initiatives that cultivate, develop, and enhance the cultural, artistic and historic climate of Okaloosa and Walton CountiesEducation: Initiatives that further the educational process or improve access to education for children and/or adults in Okaloosa and Walton CountiesEnvironment, Recreation & Preservation: Initiatives that will restore, preserve, revitalize or enhance the facilities, surroundings and/or recreational opportunities of Okaloosa and Walton CountiesFamily: Initiatives that strengthen and enhance the lives of children and families living in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Health & Wellness: Initiatives that improve the mental and/or physical well-being of people living in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.Ineligibility
Organizations who have received an IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida grant are not eligible to apply again for two years.IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida does not fund religious or politically affiliated organizations whose purpose for the grant is political or religious activities. IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida does not fund the following:General operating expenses or overheadDebt reduction or operational deficitsGrants to specific individualsEndowment or memorial fundingInterim or bridge fundingPartisan, legislative or political activitiesFraternal, sectarian and religious organizations where the grant is intended for the principal benefit of the organization’s own members or adherents, or where the grant is intended for inherently religious activitiesPrivate foundationsLegal expenses incurred in any action by or against the organizationGeneral construction or renovation (unrelated to a specific proposed project)Projects that unlawfully discriminate on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious beliefFund drives or annual appealsGeneral capital campaigns or projects within a capital campaignAdvertising (unrelated to a specific proposed project)Focus Areas & Funding Uses
