The Impact100 Model The Impact100 model is designed to empower women to see themselves as philanthropists and overcome the barriers women have historically faced in this arena. The model is designed for transformational grant-making within local communities, with a minimum grant size of $100,000. Focus Areas We provide nonprofit organizations with grants in increments of at least $100,000 across five broad Focus Areas: Arts & CultureInitiatives that cultivate, develop, and enhance the cultural, artistic, and recreational climate of Mobile County.EducationInitiatives that further the educational process or improve access to education for children and/or adults in Mobile County.EnvironmentInitiatives that restore, preserve, revitalize, or enhance the natural resources, facilities, and surroundings of the Mobile County area.FamilyInitiatives that strengthen and enhance the lives of children and families living in Mobile County.Health & WellnessInitiatives that improve the mental and/or physical well-being of people living in Mobile County. Funding The Impact100 Mobile goal is to award at least $100k to a worthy local nonprofit annually. The grant amount varies each year depending on membership.Eligibility
You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Nonprofits must be recognized as tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Local affiliates may apply under the 501(c)(3) of the national organization.Nonprofits must submit the following documentation by the deadline selected by the Board of Directors:A completed Letter of Intent.A valid IRS 501(c)(3) designation letter.IRS 990s from the three most current complete years for established nonprofits.Available IRS 990s and 1023 forms for those without three years of 990s.Nonprofits may submit applications for a capital project, a new program, or an expansion of an existing program.Nonprofits must submit a grant application for funding that is within $500 of the total grant amount being awarded this year.Nonprofits need not be based in Mobile County, but the proposed project must be implemented in Mobile County and primarily serve the residents of Mobile County.Nonprofits may submit only one application each year, either individually or as a collaborative proposal with other 501(c)(3) agencies.Past Impact100 Mobile grantees must wait three years from the date of their award before re-applying.Each nonprofit must address one Focus Area described in the criteria.Impact100 Mobile seeks proposals that expend grant funds within 24 months.Ineligibility
Grants will not be provided for:General operating expenses or overhead, unless applicable to the new initiative or project to be funded by Impact100 Mobile.Debt reduction, operating deficits, interim or bridge financing, or endowment funding.Individuals, grant writers, or private foundations.Partisan, legislative, or political activity.Fund drives, annual appeals, fundraising events, or general fundraising campaigns.Projects/programs that require participation in activities of a particular faith, denomination, or religion or exclude people with differing beliefs.Capital improvements or renovations to property the organization does not own or have at least a five-year lease or written agreement.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
