What the Foundation Does NOT Fund

• Endowment programs
• Fundraising events
• Annual appeals of well-established organizations
• Scholarships
• Grants to individuals

Important Eligibility Notes

• Organizations must be tax-exempt public charities under Section 501(c)(3)
• Organizations who have previously received grants from Looking Out Foundation are strongly encouraged to diversify their funding base and develop alternative sources of support
• Applicants may not submit a proposal more than once in any twelve-month period
• The foundation receives far more requests each grant cycle than it can support
• Focus areas may change based on evolving community needs

Decision Timeline

Grant decisions are normally made twice per year:

• May decision: Apply by January 15th
• November decision: Apply by July 1st

How to Apply

1. Complete the application form at lookingoutfoundation.org/grants/
2. Submit by the deadline:
   • January 15th for May decision
   • July 1st for November decision

Application Requirements
