Background:
The GPFPE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation established to support educational initiatives in Grosse Pointe Public Schools. The Foundation works to align grant funding with the district's strategic plan priorities.

Application Process

1. Prepare Application
   • Complete the GPFPE grant request form
   • Obtain approval and original signature from school administrator (required by auditors)

2. Submit Application

   • Applicants may be asked to participate in interview or informal Q&A
   • Written notification provided within 90 days of submission deadline regarding approval, decline, deferral, or hold for further information
5. Board Approval
   • If approved by GPFPE grant committee, grant must be accepted by Grosse Pointe Board of Education at regular monthly meeting
   • GPFPE notifies applicant of board meeting date and invites attendance for acknowledgement
6. Post-Approval
   • Submit final report form within 30 days of project completion or annual update for ongoing grants
   • GPFPE board members may visit classroom to observe project and take photos
   • Expect to work with GPFPE for media coverage and publicity
