General Community Grants

Geographic Scope: Lake County, Florida (focused on Mount Dora Area)

The Mount Dora Community Trust provides grants to assist with various needs important to the community. Grants support charitable organizations operating within Lake County with funds used in Lake County and the Mount Dora area.

Eligibility Requirements

• Organization must operate within Lake County
• Funds must be used in Lake County, focused on the Mount Dora Area
• Organization must have a general membership open to all segments of the community
• Must be apolitical and not religion specified
• Should be charitable-minded
• Must have proven effectiveness and broad base of community support
• All requests must be authorized by the organization potentially receiving the grant
• Organization must agree to report on use of any grant funds received
• School requests must be authorized by current Principal
• Any request benefiting a city or county-owned facility must be approved by appropriate official manager
• One request per twelve (12) months per organization
• If organization received grants for three consecutive years, must sit out the following year's three grant cycles
