Student Scholarships

Geographic Scope: Northeast Lake County, Florida (Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Sorrento area)

Mount Dora Community Trust administers multiple named scholarship funds created by individuals, couples, families, clubs, and organizations. The trust manages and distributes scholarships to local students to help them afford and graduate from college.

2020: $63,650 awarded to students from Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, and Sorrento

Future Program Enhancements

• Support for returning adult learners to complete their degree
• Increased skilled trade degrees and certificates
• Program designed to bring talented young adults back to the area by reducing student loan debt
