GCCF: GladYAC Educator Mini-Grant Program

The GladYAC Educator Mini-Grant Program, funded by the Gladwin County Community Foundation, aims to inspire educators in Gladwin County to create unique classroom projects that engage students with diverse learning styles. This program supports interdisciplinary and active-learning initiatives that enhance the curriculum and promote real-life applications. Eligible applicants include K-12 educators from both public and non-public schools, and projects must be completed within the current academic year.

The Gladwin County Community Foundation exists to cultivate the power of giving within our community, support long-term transformation, and help ensure all residents thrive.
The Foundation is concerned about the community as a whole. We fund a wide variety of community programs, such as arts and culture, civic improvement, education, environment, health, human services, recreation, and youth.
Purpose
GladYAC recognizes that students come from diverse backgrounds, have different learning styles and can benefit from creative learning opportunities and would like to provide educators with a funding opportunity to develop and implement instructional projects to motivate and challenge students to learn.
Proposals should be unique classroom projects that enliven and enrich the curriculum. Projects are encouraged to be interdisciplinary, active-learning lessons that reinforce learning through simulation or applied to real-life situations.

Eligibility

All Gladwin County kindergarten through grade 12 educators from public schools and non-public schools will be eligible to apply. While more than one grant may be submitted, only one grant will be awarded per educator per academic year.Note that all projects must be completed in the current academic year.

Ineligibility

Mini-grant applications will not be considered for facility renovation, religious activities or teachings, equipment that is not an integral part of the project, non-academic projects or trips out of this county.
