The Service Club Alliance Grant (Midland Lions Club)

The Service Club Alliance Grant, offered by the Midland Lions Club, focuses on addressing critical needs in the Midland community through collaborative efforts of local service clubs. The Service Club Alliance is a collaborative partnership between Midland area service clubs to coordinate efforts and simplify grantmaking for community organizations. The Service Club Alliance streamlines the grant process by using a common application for applicants who provide essential support to Midland County residents.
When an organization submits an application, it is automatically shared with all participating service clubs for review and consideration. This collective approach was established collaboratively by the participating clubs to ensure that community resources are allocated in the most effective and impactful way possible.
The Midland Area Community Foundation is not responsible for the grantmaking decisions made by the organizations below. We serve solely as the convenor of this alliance.
Midland Lions Club is one of the 49,000 chartered clubs of Lions International. With clubs in over 200 countries, Lions International is one of the most extensive service organizations worldwide, with over 1.4 million members. Individual clubs within Lions International retain considerable autonomy and determine their programs.

Eligibility

The Midland Lions Club supports the global causes of Lions International: VisionHungerDiabetesChildhood CancerEnvironmentDisaster Relief HumanitarianYouth in addition to hearing conservation. In addition to direct programs administered by the club, much of the Midland Lion's service is via monetary support to other organizations (e.g., Leader Dogs for the Blind, Camp Fishtales, Food Bank, Michigan All State Band, Bear Lake Camp, etc.).We also consider organizational and individual requests for assistance on a case-by-case basis.Nonprofit organizations are not limited to a specific number of requests within a given time period and are encouraged to submit applications as needs arise.
