Our History, Our Name The Four Way Community Foundation is an independent nonprofit corporation. It was originally founded in 1975 by members of the Rotary Club of Grants Pass. Although there has been no formal association with Rotary for decades, the Foundation honors its origins and the high ethical standards it inherited and maintains by retaining its name, which derives from the Rotary “Four Way Test.” Of the things we think, say, or do: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? Grant Programs We have faith in the competence and passion of our local nonprofits. Funding them through grants strengthens the fabric of our community by making possible diverse bodies of work led by people who are experts in their fields of service. We use the proceeds from our invested funds to provide grants, and to offer direct services to nonprofits to help them grow and thrive. We also help donors use Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Beneficiary Funds to join us in supporting this vital local work.
