- Oil painting instruction for 8th grade students
- Peer-leadership education programs
- 3-D printers
- Music Education tools
- STEM kits for classrooms
Past Grant Examples
- Grant approval and funding amount are at the discretion of the KPSEF Board of Directors, subject to availability of funds and KPSEF priorities
- Approved grants are sent to the administration office for allocation to the school

How to Apply
1. Complete the Grant Application Form (available on kpsef.org/grant-application)
2. Ensure all required form fields are completed
3. Submit required attachments (check application form for specific requirements)
4. For technology-related requests: Email Evan Hordyk at evan.hordyk@kentwoodps.org for KPS administration review before submission
5. Deadline: Application must be received by January 1st of the grant year
6. Submit application through the online grant application portal
- Check for similar technologies that may already be available in the district or underused resources within your school/district
- Consider showcasing your grant and its benefits at the annual Red and Black Gala held in February
- Submission of a successful grant authorizes KPSEF to use photos, students' work, and other materials on their website and/or in publicity (student photos require pre-approval)
- You are competing for grant money; put your best effort into the application
- Decision on approval/denial: By January 31st of the grant year
- Funds awarded immediately after approval
- Individuals may apply for one (1) Mini Grant and one (1) Falcon Grant per school year
