Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship Fund Grant

The Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship Fund, established in 2000 by Donald Kanagawa, supports Hawaii residents pursuing fine arts studies such as drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or photography. Preference is given to incoming freshmen and those with notable achievements in art competitions. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship aims to encourage and empower talented individuals in their artistic pursuits.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.

Eligibility

HCF Criteria:

• Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
• Be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Demonstrate financial need
• Donor Criteria:
• Be a high school senior entering as a freshman
• Intend to major in Fine Arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or photography)
