Emergency Assistance Program

The SFWF Emergency Assistance program provides partial or entire payments to assist individuals who are employed but have difficulty with employment for a variety of reasons.

Geographic Scope: Franklin County, Ohio only

Funding Focus Areas:

• Emergency transportation expenses
• Childcare costs
• Utility bill payments
• Rent payments
• Healthcare costs
• Auto repairs
• Funeral bills

Eligibility Requirements

• Must show need based on income level
• Must demonstrate how payment of the expense assists with employment and ongoing self-sufficiency
• Must live in Franklin County, Ohio
• Must be employed or seeking employment

What SFWF Funds

• Rental payments
• Utility bills
• Auto repairs
• Funeral bills
• Emergency transportation
• Childcare
• Healthcare costs

Award Details

• One-time emergency assistance only
• SFWF will consider specific situations for each applicant
• May approve amounts under or over the amount requested
• Limited resources available

3. Application Assistance: If you need help completing the application, provide your basic contact information and the foundation will contact you to assist through the application process.
