The Andrews Foundation Grant

The Andrews Foundation, a private family foundation based in Northeast Ohio since 1951, focuses on enriching the quality of life in the region. It makes grants, including general operating support, to Northeast Ohio non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status. Andrews, in allowing a range of flexibility in grant-making, has enabled the Andrews Foundation to thrive into the 21st Century.

The Andrews Foundation's founder, Mrs. Mabel Shields Andrews, allowed for and encouraged, the Trustees to seek out a wide range of community 'investment' opportunities. This flexibility allows the Board to regularly change areas of interest & grant-making concentration. In 2024, The Andrews Foundation focused on the following sectors: Education, Eldercare, Community Services, Healthcare, Social Services and Sustainability.

Eligibility

Primarily make grants to non-profit organizations located in Northeast OhioOnly make grants to organizations who have verifiable 501(c)(3) designation from the IRSWe do make operating grants.

Ineligibility

We do not consider grant requests outside of Northeast Ohio. On rare occasions, we have made grants outside of our region that are relevant to our board.

Nonprofit organizations with verifiable IRS 501(c)(3) status in Northeast Ohio only; requests from outside the region are not considered. Proposals must be submitted via the online portal.
