About the Education Plus! Grant Program The long -term goal of the Education Plus! Grant Program is to raise the economic level of families by  providing better education outcomes, and thus employment opportunities, to help build a stronger community. SCF has partnered with Rise Together Bay Area to help achieve these program objectives. Grants are available for community nonprofit organizations and public school teachers in grades K -12.  Funding focus is on projects that put the ‘Plus! factor’ in learning . Those that 1) help students achieve or improve reading literacy at the 3rd grade level, and 2) those programs that help students achieve math  kills for appropriate math course placement at the 9th grade will be strongly considered for support. Classroom or library projects, after-school tutoring or mentoring programs, and all educational activities  hat positively improve the quality of life are eligible for funding. The Education "Plus!" Factor Applicants should describe the “Plus!” factor that the proposed project brings to the participating  students.
