It fosters collaboration with various departments, inviting external experts for presentations and events. Additionally, the New Faculty Grant is specifically for new full-time faculty within their first two years, promoting professional development opportunities. Only two grants are awarded annually, emphasizing support for departments that did not receive funding in the previous year.

Overview

The Eastman Departmental Residency and Colloquium Grant offers funding for activities that support the IML’s mission within the school. The Institute for Music Leadership creates career and leadership development opportunities for musicians on and off the stage. These funds support collaboration between the IML and other Eastman departments to bring in external guests for presentations, panels, and other relevant experiences. Communication and collaboration between the applying department and IML is expected before, during, and after the event to receive granted funds. New Faculty Grant Addressing the same goals above, these funds are only available to new full-time faculty members within the first two years of their appointment. Only two New Faculty Grants are available each academic year, and applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. These grants are separate from the Departmental Grant in terms of funding allocation, review, and eligibility.
