The Distinguished Service Award is awarded to WIM USA members who have demonstrated leadership in alignment with the mission and goals of Women in Mining USA.
Focus Areas:
Achievements may be in a particular area of service, including but not limited to:
- Membership solicitation
- New Chapter formation
- Education
- Professionalism
- Public relations
- Financial or legal contributions
Eligibility:
- Must be a WIM USA member
- Must have given outstanding consistent and continuous service to WIM USA for at least 2 years
- Must have made a major contribution towards WIM USA
- Must show strong leadership skills and support WIM USA programs and projects
- Must have impacted and influenced beyond their responsibilities as an officer or committee chair
Award Presentation:
Award is presented during the WIM USA Annual Meeting (typically in April)
