About Us

The Community Foundation of Dickinson County, Inc. was established in 1999 by a group of civic-minded individuals who cherished their community and wanted to ensure future generations experience the same quality of living they had received in Dickinson County. These visionaries secured the future of the Foundation by establishing an Endowed Founder’s Fund.

Dickinson County Republican Women Scholarship - (1) $500

The Dickinson County Republican women (DCRW) believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person‘s dignity, freedom, ability, and responsibility must be honored. We also believe in equal rights, equal justice, and equal opportunity for all regardless of race, creed, gender, age, or disability. The objectives of the DCRW are to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government and to promote the principles of the Republican Party and platform.

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship will be awarded to any Dickinson County High School Senior planning to attend a Kansas college or Vocational school. Also, any Dickinson County resident planning to attend a Kansas college or Vocational school may apply.

Eligibility

* Scholarship Requirements:
* Applicant must be a current or previous graduate of any Dickinson County High School Senior planning to attend a Kansas college or Vocational school. Also, any Dickinson County resident planning to attend a Kansas college or Vocational school may apply.
* The following should be included with the application:
* A statement/essay of at least one page about the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and how these principles apply to your life and your future career.
* Three (3) letters of recommendation from any non-relative community members.
* Current resume detailing activities and achievements.
* Copy of most recent college transcript. (If chosen for the scholarship, an official transcript will be required before receiving scholarship funding.
* Current headshot.
