About Us

The Community Foundation of Dickinson County, Inc. was established in 1999 by a group of civic-minded individuals who cherished their community and wanted to ensure future generations experience the same quality of living they had received in Dickinson County. These visionaries secured the future of the Foundation by establishing an Endowed Founder’s Fund.

Since the original investment of $250K, the Foundation has grown to over 200 Funds and over $21M in assets! Area non-profits, schools, local governing entities, and students have benefited by receiving over $14M in grants and scholarships!

Ron Bolliger Memorial Scholarship for Auto Restoration

Ron Bolliger was a car enthusiast and was often found in the garage using his talent and tools to restore and recreate his current Automotive Restoration Project. This Memorial Scholarship was established by his wife, Sandra, and daughters Susan, Jane, and Joanie. The Bolliger family wishes to extend Ron’s legacy of hard work and love of automotive history to students who seek to specialize in the craft of restoring automobiles.

This scholarship is intended to assist students with ties to Dickinson County, who are seeking higher education training for a trade in Auto Restoration/ Collision Repair.

Eligibility

* Applicants must have ties to Dickinson County.
* Applicants must plan to attend a higher educational institution with a course of training in Automotive Restoration.
* The following should be included in the application:
* Statement of at least 100-200 words describing your ties to Dickinson County and interest in Auto Restoration as a career choice, including your need for financial support.
* Two letters of recommendation (signed originals) from non-relatives (such as an educator, industry professional, or community member).
* Current resume detailing activities and achievements
* Current headshot.
