Geographic Scope: Partnership between the Davises and three regional institutions:

University of Denver (Denver, CO)

Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA)

St. Edward's University (Austin, TX)

Eligibility:

Breakthrough Santa Fe students who are accepted into one of the three partner colleges

Students from Santa Fe Public Schools who dream of a college education

Program serves underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students

Award Details:

Number of awards: Six Breakthrough graduates receive scholarships annually

Award amount: Full cost of attendance

Focus: Supporting students who would otherwise be unable to afford out-of-state private university education

Background: This is a partnership between the Davises and three regional institutions. Breakthrough Santa Fe is a tuition-free non-profit serving students from Santa Fe Public Schools. The program has achieved a 92% college attendance rate among graduates, with 86% being first-generation college students.
