FLACL General Scholarships
Funder: Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries (FLACL) in partnership with Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation

Total Program: FLACL awards up to five total scholarships annually (one June and Harry Ettinger Memorial Scholarship at $3,500 and up to four general scholarships at $2,500 each)
Purpose: To support college/university-bound high school seniors who love books and demonstrate understanding of how literature enhances life and understanding
- High school seniors from Los Alamos High School or county-approved homeschool programs

Eligibility
- Submit a 500-word (1-2 page) personal narrative
- Narrative should explain how a book you have read has added to your understanding of the human condition or has enhanced your life
- Application deadline typically in March of the student's graduating year
