June and Harry Ettinger Memorial Scholarship

Funder: Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries (FLACL) in partnership with Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation

Geographic Scope: Los Alamos County, New Mexico

Award Amount: $3,500 (renewable for one additional year if 3.0 GPA is maintained)

Purpose: To honor those who love books and support college/university-bound high school seniors

Eligibility

• High school seniors from Los Alamos High School or county-approved homeschool programs
• College/university-bound students
• Eligible to apply if attending Los Alamos High School or participating in county-approved homeschool programs

Application Requirements

• Submit a 500-word (1-2 page) personal narrative
• Narrative should explain how a book you have read has added to your understanding of the human condition or has enhanced your life
• Application deadline typically in March of the student's graduating year

How to Apply
