Dallas Foundation: Spring Grant Cycle

The Dallas Foundation's Spring Grant Cycle invites nonprofits to submit Letters of Inquiry for funding in key areas: Animal Welfare, Arts & Culture, and Domestic Violence. Emphasizing diversity and inclusivity, the Foundation aims to support organizations that enhance community welfare and provide essential services to Dallas County residents. With plans to fund 5-10 nonprofits, this initiative underscores a commitment to improving lives and fostering a brighter future for all in North Texas.

NOTE: To streamline the process and expedite funding to the community, The Dallas Foundation no longer requires Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) and is accepting full grant applications for the Spring 2026 cycle during the application period from organizations with an annual operating budget of at least $500,000.

Grants
The Dallas Foundation typically hosts at least two grant cycles per year.
The Dallas Foundation’s Spring Grant Cycle focuses on a limited number of interest areas as determined by the donors who established the granting funds. These funds are managed and disbursed by The Dallas Foundation to meet the community’s current needs in Animal Welfare, Arts & Culture, and Domestic Violence. Nonprofits providing services and programs in these categories are currently being invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI).
We anticipate funding 5-10 nonprofits with one-year grants in each category.
Animal Welfare
Support for projects that promote the health and welfare of companion animals, including prevention of cruelty, veterinary care, spay and neuter programs, promotion of responsible pet ownership, support of animal shelters and the adoption of stray animals.
Arts & Culture
Support for performing and visual arts programming.
Domestic Violence
Support for programs that assist children and adult victims of domestic violence.

Eligibility

Ineligibility

Funds are generally not available for:Programs or services that do not serve Dallas County residentsAnnual Fund campaigns, underwriting of fundraising events, and marketing campaignsReligious purposes (although we do support educational and social service programs offered by faith-based organizations)EndowmentsIndividualThe Foundation does not knowingly award grants to organizations that discriminate in their hiring, those they accept as volunteers, or the clients they serve.
