Overview

Custom District Support

Program Overview: Custom District Support projects are designed by Chef Ann Foundation in collaboration with school districts to address their specific school food challenges and goals. These projects are opportunities for one district or multiple districts to receive individualized and direct support for improving their meal programs.

Design Format:

  • Single-district projects: Working with one individual district

  • Multi-district projects: County, state, or other regional-level projects
  • Five Key Support Areas:
    1. Food
    2. Finance
    3. Facilities
    4. Human Resources
    5. Marketing

Eligibility: Districts that fall outside the parameters and/or timeline of the Get Schools Cooking program but are ready to create change

Selection Process: Projects are reviewed and selected on a case-by-case basis

Funding Status: While the Get Schools Cooking grant is funded, Custom District Support projects are not currently funded. During the appraisal period, Chef Ann Foundation may partner with an organization or district to support fundraising efforts to cover program costs.

    Example Multi-District Projects:
