Mission & Focus Areas:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the Foundation redirected all available grant resources to critical health and wellness needs related to the pandemic, including:

  • Housing and homelessness services: support for homeless population coordination

  • Senior isolation prevention: support for at-risk senior veterans

  • Childcare for essential workers: support for early learning centers serving children of essential staff

  • Emergency funds: establishment of emergency support funds in counties

  • Food security: general support services during lockdown

  • Healthcare equipment: pulse oximeters for home monitoring, medical supplies

  • Protective equipment: N95 masks for volunteer fire departments and at-risk agencies

  • Sanitation supplies: hand sanitizer distribution to local agencies

  • Support for vulnerable populations: increased support to organizations serving abuse survivors and other vulnerable clients

  • Emergency childcare: for children of first responders

  • Healthcare access: emergency medications for children
  • Eligible Applicants: Nonprofits and community organizations addressing pandemic-related health and wellness needs in service area

    Special Note: The 2020 annual Healthy Living Grants program was suspended to focus resources on COVID-19 crisis response. Organizations that had expressed interest in applying to the traditional Healthy Living Grants were notified and were understanding of this decision.
