Application Process

Required Information:

1. Applicant Information:

- Island location (select from dropdown or specify)

2. Category Selection:
- Select which category (or categories) you are applying for:
- Pollinator Garden
- Traditional Turf Lawn Reduction
- Coastal Resilient Landscapes, Bioswales & Rain Gardens

3. Category-Specific Requirements Verification:
- Confirm requirements are met for Pollinator Garden (if applying):
- Species beneficial to pollinators, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
- Confirm requirements are met for Traditional Turf Lawn Reduction (if applying):
- At least 200 square feet of turf removed
- Low-maintenance species used, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
- Confirm requirements are met for Resilient Landscapes & Rain Gardens (if applying):
- Minimum 25 square feet enhanced with climate-resilient vegetation
- Adjacent to coastal beach, dune, coastal bank, water body, or flooding-prone area
- Low-maintenance species, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer

4. Plant List:
- Include plant list or representative sample of 5-10 plants being used for each category

5. Photographs:
- Upload photo showcasing pollinator garden, lawn conversion, or rain garden
- Can upload up to 2 files

6. Image Permission:
- Grant permission to Nantucket Garden Club and/or Nantucket Land Council to use images in publications, websites, social media, and promotional materials
