Overview: A recognition and commendation program for residential and property owners on Nantucket who implement conservation-focused landscaping projects. The program recognizes three categories of environmental stewardship.

- Garden consists of species beneficial to pollinators, majority native to Nantucket
- Pollinator habitat can be split among multiple distinct sites at property
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
Pollinator Garden
- Traditional turf lawn area of at least 200 square feet total removed from landscape
- Low-maintenance species used to replace turf, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
Traditional Turf Lawn Reduction
- Minimum of 25 square feet enhanced with climate-resilient vegetation
- Located adjacent to coastal beach, dune, coastal bank, water body, or area prone to flooding
- Low-maintenance species, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
Coastal Resilient Landscapes, Bioswales & Rain Gardens
Eligibility: Residential and property owners on Nantucket
Image Permission: Applicants grant Nantucket Garden Club and/or Nantucket Land Council permission to use images in publications, websites, social media, and promotional materials

- Confirm requirements are met for Traditional Turf Lawn Reduction (if applying):
- At least 200 square feet of turf removed
- Low-maintenance species used, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer
- Confirm requirements are met for Resilient Landscapes & Rain Gardens (if applying):
- Minimum 25 square feet enhanced with climate-resilient vegetation
- Adjacent to coastal beach, dune, coastal bank, water body, or flooding-prone area
- Low-maintenance species, majority native to Nantucket
- Maintained free of pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizer

- Can upload up to 2 files

- Grant permission to Nantucket Garden Club and/or Nantucket Land Council to use images in publications, websites, social media, and promotional materials
