    Created by Filantropía Puerto Rico as a pool of contributions raised from individuals, foundations and corporations. Nearly $9M raised over six years to support Puerto Rico's recovery efforts after Hurricanes Irma and Maria, 2020's earthquakes and pandemic. As of the latest report, $8,772,732 have been distributed providing long-term support for key organizations.

    Key Priorities

    PRIORITY #1: Social Justice and Transparency
    Promote social justice and transparency in the distribution of public resources, with particular emphasis on recovery funds provided by the federal government. Grantees have designed fiscal and social observatories and provided services to historically marginalized populations.

    PRIORITY #2: Data Analysis and Public Dialogue
    Facilitate data analysis and informed public dialogue on the actual and potential impact of new government policies, particularly on marginalized populations. Grantees promote public dialogue on policies affecting childhood poverty, citizen participation, education, governance, renewable energy and housing rights.

    PRIORITY #3: Nonprofit Sector Resilience
    Advance the resilience and sustainability of the nonprofit sector by:

  • Enhancing leadership and organizational capacity

  • Building fiscal and programmatic health

  • Augmenting collective influence and voice

  • Enabling collaborations among organizations

  • Seeding individual emergency funds (15 organizations as of last report)
