Community Arts Grants

Overview: Arts4MC offers Community Arts Grants of up to $7,500 annually to nonprofit organizations to bring public arts and culture programs to life, whether launching new initiatives or sustaining beloved programs.

Geographic Scope: Monterey County, California

Eligibility:

  • Nonprofit organizations with total revenue up to $3 million

  • Each organization can receive one grant per year

  • Must complete final report for any previous grant before applying again
  • Focus Areas: Public arts and culture programs

    Application Cycles:

  • Spring Cycle: March – April (March 16 - April 13, 2026)

  • Fall Cycle: October – November
  • Funding Sources: County of Monterey Board of Supervisors, The David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Todd Lueders Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County

    1. Submit Application: Complete application through online grant portal
    2. Review Guidelines: Review sample application and grant guidelines provided
    3. Application Support: Attend Zoom office hours (Tuesdays 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) or schedule appointment at King City office
    4. Evaluation Process: Applications reviewed and evaluated by volunteers with arts experience representing all five supervisorial districts in Monterey County
    5. Award Amount: Based on average scores from evaluators
