College Project Grants

Program Description: The South Seattle College Foundation invests in campus-wide initiatives through College Project Grants that enhance the learning environment and improve student life—providing funding for campus projects that might not otherwise be possible through institutional resources.

Eligible Applicants:

  • Campus staff

  • Campus leaders

  • Faculty and staff with project proposals
  • Project Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate a positive impact on students and the campus community

  • Must have clearly defined goals and outcomes

  • Most projects are completed within one year
  • Funding Focus:

  • Campus projects that enhance the learning environment

  • Initiatives that improve student life

  • Projects supporting the campus community
  • Recent Examples of Funded Projects:

  • $50,000 for new cardio machines and strength equipment in the Wellness Center

  • $65,000 for the Alki Kitchen renovation design/permit project

  • $21,000 for a High Voltage and Safety tool kit, enabling advanced electric vehicle (EV) training in the Automotive Program

  • $14,000 for a new 3D printer and updated sewing machines in the Maker Space

  • $25,000 for a sensory garden and fountain restoration in the Arboretum

  • $5,000 for a Foreign Language Translation System in Student Services
