Student Scholarships

Program Description: The South Seattle College Foundation awards scholarships to support South Seattle College students based on financial need, personal history, academic merit, achievement, and/or specific areas of study.

Geographic Scope: South Seattle College students

Award Details:

  • Maximum of three quarters of tuition and fees (based on 15-credit load)

  • Awards can be as much as $2,000 per quarter for three quarters

  • Up to a total of $6,000 for the year

  • Awards can be used as early as summer quarter of the same year
  • Funding Sources:

  • Endowment Funds

  • Adopt-A-Student Funds

  • General Scholarship Fund
  • What Scholarships Cover:

  • Tuition and fees

  • Textbooks and supplies

  • Other educational expenses
  • Eligibility:

  • Current SSC students (part-time or full-time)

  • International students

  • BAS students

  • Undocumented students

  • Running Start students graduating from high school this year

  • ESL/ABE students transitioning to college-level or professional/technical courses
  • Recent Award History:

  • Spring 2025: 111 students awarded for 311 quarters totaling $498,100

  • Spring 2024: 102 students awarded for 289 quarters totaling $434,000

  • Spring 2023: 96 students awarded for 242 quarters totaling $350,000
