Barbara Leppe Scholarship for Women in Oregon Our founder Cameron Healy's mom — Barbara, or “Bobby,” as she was affectionately known — was a woman with a reputation for having an independent spirit and cared deeply about young women. She volunteered her time and gave her personal resources to nonprofits serving women. When she passed away in 2006, her family and friends contributed to a Scholarship Fund in her memory. In 2008, a permanent endowment was established in her name at The Healy Foundation with a clear mission: "To serve challenged young women who deserve an opportunity to take positive steps forward in their lives through educational scholarships." We partner with Oregon nonprofit organizations College Possible and Stand for Children to award college scholarships. The Barbara Leppe scholarship is a renewable scholarship of $7,000 per year for four years and recipients do not need to attend college in Oregon.
