Barbara Leppe Scholarship Grant

The Barbara Leppe Scholarship supports young women in Oregon, honoring the independent spirit of its founder's mother. Established in 2008, it offers a renewable scholarship of $7,000 per year for four years to eligible Oregon high school women graduates. The scholarship aims to empower recipients to pursue their education and personal growth without requiring them to attend college in Oregon. The Healy Foundation partners with local nonprofits to facilitate this opportunity.

Barbara Leppe Scholarship for Women in Oregon
She volunteered her time and gave her personal resources to nonprofits serving women.
When she passed away in 2006, her family and friends contributed to a Scholarship Fund in her memory. In 2008, a permanent endowment was established in her name at The Healy Foundation with a clear mission: "To serve challenged young women who deserve an opportunity to take positive steps forward in their lives through educational scholarships."
We partner with Oregon nonprofit organizations College Possible and Stand for Children to award college scholarships. The Barbara Leppe scholarship is a renewable scholarship of $7,000 per year for four years and recipients do not need to attend college in Oregon.
