Overview
The Robert and Nancy Komlofske Family Scholarship, administered by the Crook County Foundation, honours graduating Crook County High School student athletes who have taken part in a major sport during most of their high school years and are graduating with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Two scholarships are awarded. One goes to a male student who participated in and completed the season — unless injured — in Crook County High School football, wrestling, basketball and/or baseball. The other goes to a female student who participated in and completed the season, unless injured, in Crook County High School volleyball, basketball and/or softball.
The Komlofske family launched the endowment in 2012 and doubled it with a further gift in late 2019, which increased the annual awards and will support more students over time. Sixteen students had been awarded funds from the endowment as of early 2020. The endowment is invested at the Oregon Community Foundation through the Crook County Foundation.
