Overview

Back-to-School Mini-Grant

Status: Open annually (typically August-September)

Geographic Scope: West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) only

Purpose: To ease out-of-pocket costs for teachers while improving educational experiences of students, with focus on African American/Black students' needs

Background: Teachers spend approximately $750 out-of-pocket annually on classroom supplies

Eligibility:

  • All WCCUSD teachers

  • Principals/VPs can apply on behalf of teachers

  • Charter schools not accepted at this time
  • Award Amount: $250 per teacher

    Quantity: 100 grants available
