AWARE Fund Grant

The AWARE Fund Grant, established by the Dallas Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations dedicated to combating Alzheimer’s disease in the North Texas area. With over $13 million raised since 1989, AWARE offers crucial funding for programs, research, and resources for caregivers. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations in good financial health, with grants available up to $50,000. This initiative emphasizes the importance of community support in the ongoing fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

AWARE is proud to support nonprofit organizations that share our mission and dedication to fighting Alzheimer’s disease.
Since then, AWARE has raised and donated over $13,500,000 in support of its mission.
In partnership with The Dallas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) publicly supported charity, AWARE conducts an annual grant review process resulting in the selection of the most exemplary nonprofit organizations in Dallas and the North Texas region that are working on the front lines in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. AWARE provides funding and support to those leading groups which offer programs, education, and resources to caregivers and victims of Alzheimer’s disease, and to organizations doing valuable research to find prevention and ultimately a cure.
Within the limitations of the funding criteria listed above, funding can be used for the following:

• Operating SupportResearch CostsProgram / Services CostsSalaries of full-time or part-time employees

Eligibility

AWARE award grants once each year to applicants who meet the following criteria:Nonprofit organizations located in Dallas and the greater North Texas area.Alzheimer’s-related Programs/Services must be delivered and/or Research must be conducted in Dallas and the greater North Texas Area.Applicants must be nonprofit organizations in overall good financial health with a proven track record.New or existing programs will be considered.Purchase of equipment may be considered (as an exception).Only single year grants are considered.Requests can be made for up to $50,000.

Ineligibility

Grants may not be used to pay for conferences and meetings, event underwriting, or bonuses.
