Arts PA Statewide: Creative Catalyst Grants

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts offers the Creative Catalyst Grants to support innovative arts projects that can have a significant impact across the state. These grants aim to enhance the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of Pennsylvania's communities through special initiatives. Eligible organizations include nonprofits and local government units, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The grant cycle is quarterly, ensuring timely support for unique arts opportunities.

Creative Catalyst Grants - This funding opportunity is designed to encourage and support projects and events that have the potential for statewide impact on the arts and creative sector. Statewide Creative Catalyst grants are not designed to provide ongoing support or to fund projects that occur on an annual or regular basis, but rather to help support special events or unique, strategic opportunities. Applications will be reviewed quarterly by PCA staff; funding recommendations will be presented and voted on at the PCA's quarterly Council meetings.
Statewide Creative Catalyst Grants support new initiatives and opportunities that advance strategies for strengthening the cultural, educational, or economic vitality of Pennsylvania’s communities through the arts. Applications will be assessed based on the degree to which they meet the following components:
Align with one or more of the three goals of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts:Strengthen Pennsylvania communities through the arts.Connect and increase Pennsylvanians’ access to lifelong learning through the arts.Champion public awareness and appreciation of the arts in Pennsylvania communities.Demonstrate statewide benefit for the creative sector in Pennsylvania.Include mechanisms to implement the PCA’s overarching value of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Eligibility

Organizations must be nonprofit, tax-exempt corporations, a unit of government; college or university; school district or non-arts nonprofit providing arts programming and/or arts services in Pennsylvania. Organizations are required to provide proof of incorporation and activity in Pennsylvania before applications are reviewed or funds awarded.

Ineligibility

Please note that this is NOT for on-going support or for an annual source of fundsFiscal agents and fiscal sponsors are not eligible for Creative Catalyst funding.
