The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Honolulu Chapter Scholarship Fund honors Jane Suganuma by supporting students in graphic design and print production. Established in 1987, this scholarship emphasizes community engagement and academic excellence, requiring recipients to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to previous awardees who continue to meet eligibility criteria, fostering a legacy of design excellence in Hawaii.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.

The Jane Suganuma Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 1987 by her friends and colleagues to honor Jane, an outstanding print production person in Honolulu. With additional assistance from the American Institute of Graphic Arts Honolulu Chapter, this scholarship supports students who demonstrate a commitment to print production, especially those who will stay in Hawaii and share what they have learned.

Eligibility

HCF Criteria:

• Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
• Demonstrate financial need
• Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0Donor Criteria:
• Major in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or Commercial Arts
