2025-2026 ESC IDEA-B and State Dyslexia and Related Disorders Coordinators Grant

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is offering the 2025-2026 ESC IDEA-B and State Dyslexia and Related Disorders Coordinators grant to provide essential technical assistance and training for dyslexia services across 20 Regional Education Service Centers in Texas. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Texas Education Code 38.003, enhancing educational support for affected students.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA), as the pass-through entity, is the grantee from the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and TEA awards subgrants to non-federal entities such as local educational agencies (LEAs), including school districts, charter schools, and education service centers, and to a lesser degree institutions of higher education (IHEs), and nonprofit organizations (NPOs) who are the agency’s subgrantees.

The purpose of this project is to provide state-level technical assistance, training, and coordination of dyslexia services across the 20 Regional Education Service Centers (ESCs). This project provides technical assistance and training in the area of dyslexia that supports both state and federal regulations, including Texas Education Code 38.003, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504.
