Field Services Department: NYSUT operates nearly 125 labor relations specialists (LRS) working out of 16 regional offices throughout New York State. These specialists represent local unions at the bargaining table, administer collective bargaining agreements, and advocate on behalf of members before impartial arbitrators, the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for private sector members. LRS staff function as consultants, communicators, trainers, and facilitators to resolve local issues.
Program Services: NYSUT provides targeted resources and services to diverse constituencies including BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services), health care workers, retirees, and school-related professionals.
