NCSHPO IS THE ASSOCIATION OF THE GUBERNATORIALLY APPOINTED OFFICIALS WHO CARRY OUT THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT (16 USC 470) FOR THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR AND THE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON HISTORIC PRESERVATION.
