The Foundation pursues its mission through three interconnected pillars:
Youth Nutrition The Foundation supports public K-12 schools in serving wholesome, nourishing, minimally processed food to students. Programming includes providing expert guidance on ingredients and label analysis through the Green Onion Tool, a free online resource for school nutrition professionals, and funding staff trainings related to food production and distribution. The Foundation also provides grants for kitchen facility improvements and school food system enhancements.
Youth Movement The Foundation champions physical movement programs that encourage children to become active and excited about movement for life. Since 2022, the Foundation has contributed more than $600,000 in grants to community organizations and schools offering safe, fun, and enriching physical activity programs.
Healthy Planet Introduced as a mission pillar in 2023, this program partners with schools and nonprofit organizations to promote reforestation and conservation initiatives to address climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.
