Mission Statement: To provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure.
AFA's core belief is that raising awareness of the disease and educating healthcare professionals and the public will help remove fear and denial surrounding Alzheimer's disease, lead to early detection and proper treatment, prompt greater utilization of community resources, and ultimately improve quality of life.

- National Memory Screening Program: Offers free virtual memory screenings conducted by qualified professionals; has screened more than 5,034,545 people to date

- Professional Training & Education: Through the Dementia Care Professionals of America division, AFA has trained more than 16,500 healthcare professionals in dementia-specific care
- Research Funding: Supports research initiatives for better treatment and cure development
