About Our YPC
The Community Foundation established its Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC) in 2008 to provide opportunities for local youth to practice philanthropic leadership skills by forming a grant making body. The YPC is composed of sophomores, juniors, and seniors from our local public and private high schools.
YPC’s 2025 Funding Priority
The YPC announces the availability of $30,000 in grant funding for nonprofit organizations that provide programs and services which equitably address and prevent homelessness, meet basic needs*, and ensure accessible mental health resources (including substance abuse prevention and treatment) with a commitment to dignity for all residents in the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County community.
*Basic needs include food, clothing, CHILD CARE, access to the internet, basic hygiene products, school supplies, and the TRANSPORTATION for residents to have access to these resources.
