Overview

The Community Grants Program, managed by the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, allocates over $1.5 million annually to support nonprofit organizations addressing community needs in Staunton, Waynesboro, and surrounding counties. The program prioritizes well-conceived projects that demonstrate a realistic schedule and effective resource use. Eligible recipients include 501(c)(3) organizations, while individuals and sectarian groups are ineligible. This initiative fosters community engagement and development through strategic funding.

We support the ability of the nonprofit sector to respond to community needs in many ways, including the distribution of over $1.5 million in grants each year.
We offer a number of grant opportunities to nonprofit organizations serving the independent cities of Staunton and Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland and Nelson.
