Youth Reentry Support Grant These grants will support organizations that can provide access to mentorship, skills training and education, health and wellness programs, and other types of support services that can expose and prepare impacted youth to diverse opportunities. Grant Program Description: Mayor Michelle Wu, the Office of Human Services (OHS) and the Office of Returning Citizens (ORC) are pleased to announce applications are now being accepted for the Youth Reentry Support Grant. This grant opportunity, which is the direct result of resident decision-making through the City's Participatory Budgeting process, is designed to empower organizations with a demonstrated commitment to supporting Boston’s justice-involved youth—both those currently incarcerated and those reentering the community. We seek partners who are dedicated to fostering positive outcomes and long-term success for young people navigating the challenges of reentry. The City of Boston, through the Office of Human Services (OHS) and the Office of Returning Citizens (ORC), will award up to $250,000 in grants to eligible non-profit organizations. These grants will support organizations that can provide access to mentorship, skills training and education, health and wellness programs, and other types of support services that can expose and prepare impacted youth to diverse opportunities. Programs may include home economics, grant writing, college prep, entrepreneurship, trade learning, employment preparation, family support and mentorship.Eligibility

Eligible programs include those that offer reentry and reintegration services to individuals returning to Boston from federal, state, or county correctional facilities, as well as youth ages 14–21 currently or previously involved with the Department of Youth Services. For the purposes of this grant opportunity, reentry and reintegration services may include but are not limited to job training, educational programs, peer mentoring, family reunification, community stabilization, health and wellness initiatives, and pathways to economic independence.The grant program is competitive, and non-profit organizations or those utilizing eligible fiscal agents are encouraged to apply.
