Let's Play Boston: Youth Sports Relief Grant Grant Program Description Mayor Wu's Office of Human Services is excited to announce the 2025 Let’s Play Boston Relief Grant. The Relief Grant is designed to empower youth sports organizations as they pursue excellence and represent their communities during their student-athletic journey. This program provides critical financial assistance to help providers navigate the unexpected costs that often arise while pursuing a championship. This grant ensures that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of youth athletes chasing their athletic dreams. Grant recipients will receive funding of up to $2,000 to address challenges that jeopardize the youth's ability to continue participating in the sport.

Grantees eligible for a grant must be: A community-based sports organization with tax-exempt nonprofit status or partnering with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor.Able to provide direct sports instruction to youth between the ages of 8 and 19 years old.Based within the City of Boston and serve City of Boston residents.Organization's total annual operating expenses cannot exceed $1,000,000.The request must be for the following:Replace essential equipment.Registration fees for championship tournaments,Staff hours for unexpected championship tournaments,Emergency space costsNon-equipment expenses, such as uniforms, and general staffing costs will not be considered as urgent needs.
