Youth Hockey Program Grant

Starting in 2026, the Samantha C. Smith Foundation has restructured its youth hockey scholarship program. Rather than awarding individual scholarships to youth hockey players, the foundation now grants funds directly to deserving youth hockey programs.

Purpose: Funds are designated to:

• Lower tuition costs for new players
• Supply equipment to new players

Focus Areas: Youth hockey programs

Geographic Scope: New Hampshire, US (Auburn, NH based)

Selection Process: The Samantha C. Smith Foundation will choose deserving youth hockey programs to receive grants

Background: Founded September 2004 in memory of Samantha who died in a boating accident. Has awarded over $250,000 to youth hockey and educational programs over the last 15+ years.
