Overview: The Yay!DAY P.E.E.R.S. Scholarship Program awards educational funding to Charlotte Mecklenburg students annually. The foundation awarded $16,000 in scholarships in its first year and $35,000 in its second year.

Geographic Scope

- Must be a Charlotte Mecklenburg School student
- Actively engaging in social outreach to promote the power of positivity
- Educating and empowering peers to lead positive lifestyles through participation in school programs, mentoring, and/or service projects
- Demonstrating personal "Yay!" — a sport, hobby, instrument, talent, artwork, meditation practice, or other activity that brings happiness
Eligibility Requirements
- Write an essay
- Create a video
- Submit something unique that illustrates something positive in their life
Application Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate positivity through one or more of the following:- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Volunteer hours
- Demonstrated positive impact on community
- Promotion and encouragement of positivity

Required Materials:
1. Essay OR video OR unique submission demonstrating something positive that brings happiness
2. Demonstration of social outreach and peer engagement

5. Proof of minimum 3.0 GPA
