Overview

YAPPERS (Youth Area Philanthropists) The YAPPERS (Youth Area Philanthropists) strive to engage and empower individuals (0-25) throughout the community. YAPPERS grants provide nonprofit organizations with the opportunity to strengthen their programs. Requests for funding through the YAPPERS grant process should clearly demonstrate how the program: is designed to provide opportunities, and/or raise awareness for issues that local individuals (0-25) are facing.will provide opportunities for the community to participate, removes barrier, and promote inclusionimproves quality of life for the most disadvantaged youth in our communityleads to long-term, sustainable solutionsspecifically addresses at least one of YAPPERS’ 4 Promises:General health: mental and physical health, including disabilities (abuse or addiction related issues /nutrition/counseling etc.)Stable living: family life, neighborhoods, shelters, including for immigrants (safe environments at home/school etc., promoting eco-friendly lifestyles)Effective education: Tutoring, after school/summer programs, specifically youth basedCareer advancement: job training, education programs for adults, equal opportunity for all individuals (0-25), life skills.
