Overview: Women United is a network of women who influence change in Licking County through focused investment of time, talent, and resources. The organization awards project grants to local non-profits that promote positive social change by empowering women and children.

Funding Information

• Award Amount: Up to $2,000 per project
• Geographic Scope: Licking County, Ohio
• Focus Areas: Women, children, and families in Licking County

What They Fund

• Project-based requests (single, specific tasks with established timeframes and tangible outcomes)
• Examples of funded items: supplies for therapeutic art projects, pilot programs offering meals at support group events, speaker/trainer fees, technology acquisition to extend services of ongoing programs

What They Don't Fund

• Brand-new programs
• Salaries and benefits
• Program-based funding (ongoing programs that encompass multiple elements)

Recent Awards

At the 2024 Woman of Achievement dinner, three grants totaling $3,540 were awarded to Mental Health of America, Summit Station, PBJ Connections, and Behavioral Healthcare Partners.

Application Process

1. Access the Applicant Portal: Sign in or create an account on e-C Impact
2. Request Application: After logging in, click "Request Grant Application" on the left side of the screen
3. Complete Application: Fill out the Women United Project Grant Application form
4. Submit: Complete applications can be submitted through the portal or emailed to Cstutes@unitedwaylc.org

• Focus on project-based requests only (not ongoing programs)
• Clearly define the single, specific task or element
• Establish a timeframe for the project
• Identify specific and tangible outcomes
• Demonstrate how the project supports women, children, and families in Licking County
